SALIX MAT GOLDEN CURLS
Grower Notes:
The Salix 'Golden Curls' is a hybrid between Salix alba 'Tristis' and Salix matsudana 'Tortuosa'. It is a large shrub or small, upright tree with noteworthy young, contorted stems and branches that twist, curl and weep to the ground. They are golden-yellow in winter and early spring, maturing to bronze in summer. Spring brings glossy green, lance-shaped leaves which also twist and curl and turn an attractive golden yellow in fall.
The fast-growing Golden Curls Corkscrew Willow enjoys full sun in rich, moist soils. Such an attractive and unique plant with an all season interest!
